Material Options
- PVC Overlay: Most widely used. Excellent lamination compatibility and proven performance.
- PETG Overlay:Higher heat resistance and dimensional stability. Ideal for composite constructions.
- PC Overlay: Polycarbonate. Preferred for high-security IDs, e-passports, and national ID cards.
- rPVC Overlay: Recycled PVC. Up to 100% certified recycled content. ISO-compliant performance.
- PLA Overlay: Bio-based, compostable. Suitable for eco-label programs and short-lifecycle cards.
* Sustainable substrates (rPVC, PLA) are highlighted above. rPVC overlays are tested to the same ISO and CQM standards as virgin PVC. PLA is recommended for non-security applications due to its lower heat resistance; lamination parameters should be validated per substrate.
